No, I hadn't thought of that until now.. I remember a PS tutorial where they made photos look like the subject was stepping out of the photo by cropping it in perspective and have some of the body parts stick out past the edges. I may give that a try.

Real shame about the background, my eyes keep leaving the dog to look behind, have you thought of an abstract crop?

For me the background is much too complicated and the angle of view is too high , a masculine dog like this needs an angle and expression that shows his domination whereas from this angle the camera dominates him. The fact he's eating your text doesn't help either :))))
